The KIPP NYC College Prep Writing Center is dedicated to improving student writing across the curriculum and preparing students for the rigors of academic writing in college and beyond. The Center will provide a welcoming, low-risk environment where all students, regardless of their academic level, can feel comfortable working to improve their writing. At the Writing Center, student writers will receive individualized or small group instruction from trained writing assistants who will work with students on specific writing skills and shepherd them through the writing process. The Center will promote a culture of writing at KIPP NYC College Prep and empower students to take control and responsibility of the writing process. Through the Center, students will not only learn to become better writers, but better communicators.
